i ♥ SF!

Marina and Norma met up with Crystal's at her lovely home for a super happy awesome productive meeting! With us we brought ideas for the i ♥ SF! visual treasure hunt and a list of things that need to be done in order to successfully pull this off. These are listed here in order of importance:

Finding a Gallery Space to Host Our Party
Homework assignment: Get following info from these galleries for hosting the opening party.

  • What are the going rates for a night/ week?
  • Can we do it for free if we give them the bar profit?
  • Do they have capability to do film projection? music setup? bar?
  • What is their general contract on commission for sold art? (for future reference)
  • What is their general vibe as a gallery space?

Date of treasure hunt and opening party: July 17th
Date of winners circle closing party: July 27-28th

  • 10pm: Voting Closed- Dance Party!

The Winners Circle/ Closing Party: July 27-28th
  • On a weekday, expect less people.
  • Winners will be announced and prizes given.
  • Prizes: coffee table book of winning and favorite entries to all winners, a trophy to first place, and a photo spread in August issue of inGEN (Norma to propose idea to inGEN.)
  • Sell extra coffee-table books for profit.
  • There's a chance here to have the winning entries printed, framed and shown for this party, but that is TBD depending on cost.

Ideally, the closing party happens about 1.5-2 weeks after the opening party to give us time to tally up votes and have these coffee table books printed. Research printing companies for books: Walgreens, etc.
